As an outsider it can be extremely hard to get some grasp on what is going on in the world of the rich and famous. Amazing behind-the-scenes looks are Billion Dollar Whale by Tom Wright and Bradley Hope and Moneyland by Oliver Bullough. Two great quotes from the latter:
“The rich live globally, the rest of us have borders.“
„The wealthy nomads who own these properties are taking advantage of the way money moves across borders, but laws stay put, to pick and choose which laws to obey.“
One observation that’s clearly entering the mainstream is that human bodies have a hard time keeping up with all the technological developments. In some sense, we’re still trapped in the bodies of Neanderthals. One of the first trends that grew out of this realization is the paleo diet. However, this problem certainly not just exists for nutrition. What other trends will emerge as a result of this observation? A great book if you want to go down that rabbit hole is The Primal Connection by Mark Sisson.
